UK-born, Miami-raised vocalist and MC Sofi Mari has graced microphones throughout various cities across the globe since 2008. From hosting underground raves to hyping up audiences at festivals such as Hospitality on the Beach and Sun and Bass, she has spent more than a decade honing her craft of singing, rhyming, and bringing her vibrant energy to every set played.

Legendary DJ’s such as: Fabio, Storm, Goldie, Bladerunner, Jumping Jack Frost, Flight, Fracture, Makoto, Bailey, Ama, AK1200, Empress, Patife, Craze, Submorphics, and many more have had Sofi on the mic toasting their sets over the years.

She’s had music released on various labels within drum & bass such as the legendary V Recordings, Function Records, Liquid Lab, Yana Music, Goldfat Records, Inperspective Records, AKO Beatz, Sun And Bass Recordings & United By Bass Recordings. Her Sundance EP was released on Fokuz Records and featured live drumming producer Septabeat, whom she traveled with and worked on live sets while residing in London. Her tune “Reciprocation” by Basys & Section was played during Dom Whiting’s ‘Drum & Bass On The Bike’, and was featured on ITV News, UK.

Her work has been featured on Data Transmission, UKF, Skank & Bass, and Drum & Basics. She came in 2nd place (under her old moniker ‘Sopheye’) as the best female vocalist/MC for the 2017 We Love Jungle Awards and was nominated again the following year. Behind the scenes, she’s worked as a writing contributor to the Dynamics database and blog, was one of the first vocalist/MCs to curate the Sun & Bass Sessions Live! Stage in 2019 and worked as the events coordinator for Eloisa Records. In 2023 she lent her vocals to Native Instruments’ 100th liquid drum and bass sample pack called ‘Rolling Tides’.
